Last night, in the midst of just hanging out quietly with each other, my eldest daughter and I started conversing about this blog. It was the FIRST time that we actually engaged in a discussion of it. Although I could sense an initial amount of hesitation, little by little she bacame more comfortable sharing her probing questions concerning some of the concepts.
Among the areas where there was difficulty comprehending the meaning I was trying to convey were in the concept of "human programming", the concept of the "puppet existence" and the concept of the soul having knowledge of the truths. Then she drops the mother of all questions - why do bad things happen in this world and why does God allow these things to happen?
When I respond with the concept of this imperfect world as being the natural consequence of the first human being (who is both physical and spritual in form) exercising his free will in the manner of chosing to be God, she responds with the reasonable question - why does the entire human race have to suffer the consequences of the free will choice of one human being?
When I bring up the concept of Jesus having to come into this human existence and die on the cross to redeem all of mankind from the unfortunate choice of the first human being, her next question was - If mankind has been redeemed by the free will choice of Jesus, then why do we still remain in this imperfect world and this fallen state?
These are excellent points of reflection indeed. The same points that I had to resolve within myself during my own quest for the truths.
I will share my complete perspectives on these questions at a later time.
